How to Close All Background Apps on iOS

Let’s accept it. Sometimes, we just want all those apps to go off. One click. One tap. And it should all disappear. That’s cool because sometimes, I find myself struggling with a very slow iPhone! Reason?
Too many background apps running!
How to Close all background apps at once on iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch?

If you jailbreak your iPhone, you have options to close all background apps at one go.
Even though the multi-tasking feature of iOS 5 helps in closing down apps that are running in the background, it’s smoother if we can close them all at one go. So that’s what we are going to do here.
Jailbreaking is easy these days, especially with Absinthe, which makes one-click jailbreak a reality. You can browse through our website for several tutorials on using Absinthe to jailbreak your iPhone 4/4S, 3GS/3G, iPod Touch and the iPads.
There are two popular Cydia tweaks which will let you do this. It basically kills all the apps that are running – or you can choose the ones that you want to be closed down.
Jailbreak App 1 – Remove Background SBSettings
If you have jailbroken your iPhone, chances are very high that you have SBSettings installed already. It’s one of the most popular Cydia apps ever. And if you have got that, then with just a simple add-on you need to be able to close all background apps at once on iPhone.
It’s called the RemoveBG add-on for SBSettings.
The RemoveBG add-on is simple. It gives you an option to close all the apps at once. One tap and all apps are closed for good.
Jailbreak App 2 – Kill Background
“Kill Background” is another jailbreak app which lets you close all background apps at once on the iPhone. This again is a simple app which shows up as a small red skull in the task-switcher bar.
Both the apps are free on Cydia and you can install them easily through a simple search.
You can tap on it and swoosh!! All apps are gone and your phone becomes free!!

When you are killing the apps, make sure an app is not updating something: for instance, when you are uploading a photo to Facebook or Twitter, if you close it abruptly, the upload won’t complete.
